S&S Music began as Sound and Silence Music Service in 1998. It was a place where young musicians and song writers could have their songs recorded and produced. It wasn’t long before live sound and lighting was added to the services offered, and the name was changed to S&S Music in 2000.
S&S Music got off to a big start producing the music and AV for clients including the Miss Teen Arkansas Pageant, Henderson State University, and Ouachita Baptist University.
On August 1, 2002 S&S Music Store opened in Arkadelphia, AR. S&S was a full line music store with guitars, amps, drums, keyboards, sound equipment, and a recording studio.
In the summer of 2003 S&S Music purchased a brand new location and the construction began. It was September before the new location opened. S&S Music was now a full line music store, recording studio, production company, and AV integrator. Business was booming. The product lines increased to include Parker, Fender, Ibanez, Washburn, Dean, Larrive, Orange, Randall, Sonor, Tama, Sabian, Meinl, Rhythm Tech, Yorkville, JBL, ElectroVoice, Behringer, Kurzweil, and Suzuki to name a few.
In 2007 S&S Music sold its location to a local church and moved a few blocks away. The economy was very bad around this time, gas prices were approaching $4/gallon and discretionary spending had taken a huge hit. In December of 2008 S&S Music closed its doors forever.
In April of 2009 Cornerstone Audio Visual was established and opened for business. Many of the lines that S&S Music carried over to Cornerstone. CAV continued providing sound and lighting services and AV integration. In 2014 CAV open its brand new state of the art recording studio. The tradition carries on…..
